To broaden our students' artistic horizons, the Department recently organized a two-day, one-night Art and Culture Study Tour to Macao for 29 students.

The first day featured a fulfilling and tightly packed itinerary. Students first explored the historic center, visiting UNESCO World Heritage sites including the Macao Museum, the Monte Fort, and the Ruins of St. Paul's. Overlooking the historic townscape, they were inspired to think deeply about space and architectural aesthetics. After enjoying an authentic Portuguese lunch and a hands-on pastel de nata (Portuguese egg tart) DIY experience, the group proceeded to teamLab SuperNature Macao, immersing themselves in a captivating visual feast that seamlessly blends technology with contemporary art.

On the second day, students strolled through the Casas-Museu da Taipa (Taipa Houses) to admire the serene beauty of blooming lotuses. This was followed by visits to the Macao Fisherman's Wharf, renowned for its European and American architectural styles, and the Macao Museum of Art, further elevating their appreciation for aesthetics.
